Primary News - Kindergarten

We are making it count in Kindergarten even though everything is new and different.  Last year, we worked to create student centered rubrics for all learning areas. This will be a handy guide for our learning this year. For example, at the beginning of the year, a strategic learner in writing would understand that their journal writing needs to include pictures with five colors as well as three or more details. The learning focus for the beginning has been focused on learning letters and sounds. We are using the Orton Gillingham program that utilizes all learning modalities ie: kinesthetic, auditory and visual.

A HUGE shout out to all our parents for providing the bridge between school and home. We would all be lost without you! We are looking forward to seeing our parents at conferences and discussing our fun Kindergarten World.
